Manager - Finance & Accounts

Role Summary

VARUN BEVERAGES LIMITED is hiring a Manager - Finance & Accounts for its manufacturing unit in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The role focuses on plant finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, statutory compliance, and strategic financial support for business decisions.

Financial Analysis

• Lead the monthly financial close cycle, including preparation of financial statements and review of balance sheet items.
• Carry out weekly operating expense forecasts and contribute to the monthly rolling estimate process.
• Identify and recommend financial approaches that improve the use of manufacturing resources.

Plant Accounting and Financial Planning

• Oversee plant accounting activities with responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the unit.
• Set up, implement, and sustain standard costing frameworks.
• Maintain effective financial controls across the plant and ensure they are followed consistently.

Budget Management

• Handle the plant budgeting cycle, covering forecasts, production planning, shipments, labour loading, cost reduction initiatives, and capital spending.
• Share accurate and timely budget and financial analysis with senior leadership.

Productivity Improvement

• Spot opportunities to improve productivity and assess initiatives that can strengthen efficiency.
• Support analysis and recommendations for capital investment projects.

Statutory, Taxation, and Legal Audits

• Manage statutory, tax, and legal audit requirements for the plant.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate with government authorities whenever compliance or reporting requires it.

Strategic Business Planning

• Contribute strategic input to the business planning process.
• Align financial planning and targets with broader business goals.

Requirements

• Qualification should be CA Inter or CA.
• Total finance experience of 4 to 8 years is required, ideally in an FMCG environment.
• Minimum 4 years of post-CA experience in a manufacturing setup is expected.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of direct and indirect taxation is needed.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate.
