Manager - Finance & Accounting Operations - Managed Services

Overview

KPMG LG invites experienced finance professionals to join as a Manager leading its Accounting and Finance Operations Managed Services practice in Dubai. This position is ideal for candidates with substantial consulting experience within the UAE region and a comprehensive grasp of finance and accounting operations combined with practical exposure to outsourcing or managed services delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by sourcing and developing new managed services business opportunities within the UAE market.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients including CFOs, finance directors, business owners, and executive leadership.
• Spearhead client meetings, develop proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and present KPMG's managed service solutions effectively.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to formulate market strategies, account management plans, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Assist in cross-selling complementary services such as CFO support, FP&A, payroll, procurement, ERP support, accounting advisory, and finance transformation.
• Lead and manage finance and accounting outsourcing engagements ensuring timely and high-quality delivery according to service level agreements.
• Guide delivery teams handling accounting, financial reporting, period closing, FP&A, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, management reporting, and payroll accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through standardization, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
• Contribute to practice development by designing service offerings, pricing structures, operational procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
• Support development of tools, templates, dashboards, SOPs, and reporting frameworks for managed services engagements.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and performance development initiatives for team members.
• Maintain a strong culture emphasizing quality, accountability, client service, and commercial discipline.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and client-specific conditions.
• Collaborate with internal KPMG teams including Tax, Audit, Risk, Technology, and Advisory to support comprehensive client needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of professional accounting qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
• At least 10 to 12 years of pertinent experience with significant exposure to consulting, advisory, outsourcing, or managed services environments.
• Proven track record within consulting or professional services firms in the UAE is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated business development skills and effective client relationship management.
• Strong familiarity with the UAE finance market including operational models and regulatory context.
• Experience leading finance outsourcing, accounting managed services, finance transformation, or shared services projects.
• Capability to manage and mentor delivery teams across multiple clients and projects.
• Commercial acumen involving proposal formulation, budgeting, pricing, and ensuring engagement profitability.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, and stakeholder relationship management.
• Effective problem-solving aptitude with practical approaches to resolving delivery issues.
• Ability to handle senior client and internal stakeholder expectations adeptly.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, accounting software platforms, workflow automation tools, and reporting dashboards is advantageous.
