Role Overview
This managerial position involves leading a 24/7 Crew Operations function responsible for maintaining the flight schedule despite any operational disruptions. The role requires oversight of all Crew Control and Crew Operations Centre activities to ensure regulatory adherence, operational robustness, and efficient disruption management.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard flight schedule integrity using data analytics and collaborative leadership.
- Manage real-time responses to irregular operations, crew shortages, and disruptions.
- Authorize critical deployment actions and ensure smooth shift transitions among controllers, crew officers, and duty managers.
- Direct the preparation of monthly rosters for Flight and Cabin Crew with focus on legality, equity, and operational resilience.
- Optimize coverage for reserve and standby crews to uphold daily operational readiness.
- Forecast proactively, monitor fatigue and qualifications, and oversee the Fatigue Risk Management System to maintain compliance with GACA, ICAO, and internal policies.
- Conduct scenario planning and develop proactive disruption strategies.
- Implement continuous improvement programs, standardize governance and documentation, and maintain constant audit readiness.
- Manage crew-related expenditures including utilization, reserve efficiency, accommodation, and logistics aligned with budget objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a relevant degree qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years of advancing experience in aviation operations, preferably Crew Control, Planning, or Rostering.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Flight Time Limitations (FTL), Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS), legality, and regulatory frameworks in airline operations.
- Preferably experienced in a leadership capacity within a continuous 24/7 operational setting.
