Job description
Role overview
This position is responsible for overseeing contractual and financial aspects of maintenance agreements, with a focus on compliance with MINDEF/SAF requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the contractual and financial administration for maintenance contracts within the assigned portfolio.
- Make sure contract execution follows MINDEF/SAF policies and directives.
- Carry out periodic internal audits to spot transactional exposure and control issues.
- Suggest updates to strengthen and keep internal control processes effective and appropriate.
- Oversee contract budgets and track their utilisation.
- Assess how well resources and funds are being deployed.
Challenges in the role
- Keeping up with changes in finance and audit-related policies.
- Reviewing existing workflows to detect weaknesses or missing controls.
- Developing practical recommendations to close identified process gaps.
- Managing a range of contracts that use different pricing structures.
Requirements
- A qualification in Business, Accountancy, Finance, Engineering, Logistics Management, or another relevant discipline.
- About 3 years of background in outsourcing or contracting procedures is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with good people skills.
- Comfort with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Candidates without prior experience may still be considered.
