Job description

Role summary

This position is responsible for overseeing dealer schemes, rebates, discounts, and incentive programs from end to end. The role is centered on supporting sales growth while keeping financial controls tight, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with approved commercial processes. A strong understanding of customer accounting is essential.

Schemes management

  • Plan, roll out, and administer dealer schemes, discount structures, and incentive plans in line with business goals.
  • Record, provision, and reconcile scheme transactions correctly in SAP/ERP platforms.
  • Review dealer scheme claims and process them only after confirming they match the sanctioned terms and conditions.
  • Track scheme usage, effectiveness, and return on investment through regular MIS reporting, and call out deviations where needed.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and regional teams to ensure schemes are executed smoothly and communicated clearly.
  • Respond to and resolve dealer queries related to incentives, scheme benefits, and payout status within expected timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve scheme administration processes.

Customer accounting

  • Create and update customer codes in SAP.
  • Post and reconcile collections in the ERP system.
  • Maintain customer master records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Prepare and process customer credit notes and debit notes.

Pricing and commercial controls

  • Assist with pricing activities and keep pricing records updated.
  • Ensure all pricing actions stay within approved commercial limits and structures.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Finance teams for any pricing revisions or updates.

Qualifications and experience

The role calls for a finance or commerce background with substantial commercial exposure. Candidates should have handled dealer or channel incentive schemes, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Skills and working style

The ideal candidate should bring strong command over commercial accounting, scheme design and tracking, SAP transactions, and analytical reporting, along with close attention to detail and confident stakeholder handling.
