The role requires close coordination of team members, prioritization of senior finance requests, and strong adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop strong working relationships with leaders in the assigned business area.
- Promote a decision-making approach where proposed projects are first assessed for value, risk, and priority before submission.
- Prepare and present monthly KPI performance reports to budget owners, including revenue and expense variance analysis, ensuring submissions are timely for both the user department and Finance.
- Prepare and present quarterly rolling forecasts to business and financial stakeholders.
- Review actual results, forecasts, and budgets, and prepare performance analysis for senior management against benchmarks.
- Evaluate commercial contracts and business proposals for compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide objective financial insight and recommendations to support efficient resource allocation and business objectives.
- Deliver continuing financial analysis and guidance through regular review, cost-reduction initiatives, and target tracking.
- Lead the budgeting cycle on time and in line with CFO direction on cost efficiency for direct operating costs, manpower, and overheads; challenge budget holders to ensure resources are used optimally.
- Improve presentations and analysis submitted to the Cost Management Committee, and complete post-CMC analysis for major capital projects and spend.
- Carry out detailed analysis of complex business and strategic issues, extract and interpret data, present findings, and recommend actions to the business.
- Monitor expenditure variances continuously, ensure spending stays within plan or budget, and initiate investigations and corrective controls when variances are material.
- Review and update financial forecasts, highlighting associated risks and opportunities.
- Oversee inventory controls and ensure stock levels remain within approved order and reorder limits.
