Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Malt House Supervisor at a regional craft brewery in Dublin. The role centers on cellar and fermentation operations, with responsibility for moving wort from the brewhouse, managing yeast, and preparing beer for packaging.
Core duties
You will oversee the flow of beer through the cellar process, including pitching and harvesting yeast, checking fermentation gravity and temperature, and carrying out carbonation and conditioning steps.
Cleaning and process control
A major part of the job is maintaining hygiene standards across tanks and hoses through a strict clean-in-place routine. The role also involves dosing finings, operating filtration, and keeping every batch accurately logged in the brewlog to maintain full traceability.
Working conditions
The work calls for strong physical endurance, ease working in environments where carbon dioxide is present, and the ability to handle caustic chemicals safely and consistently. A careful, disciplined approach to sanitation is essential.
