Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the cellar side of a regional craft brewery, keeping beer moving smoothly from the brewhouse through fermentation, conditioning, and preparation for packaging.
Core Duties
- Transfer wort from the brewhouse into cellar vessels.
- Pitch yeast at the start of fermentation and harvest it when required.
- Track fermentation progress by checking gravity and temperature on an ongoing basis.
- Carbonate and condition beer so it is ready for packaging.
- Carry out cleaning and sanitizing of tanks, hoses, and related equipment according to a rigorous clean-in-place routine.
- Add finings as needed and operate filtration equipment.
- Log each batch in the brewlog to maintain complete quality and traceability records.
