Overview
Join Vita Student in Exeter as a Maintenance Operative, playing a vital role in upholding the operational efficiency and quality standards of our luxury student residences. Primary Duties
- Promptly addressing maintenance requests related to plumbing, electrical systems, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and equipment from both students and staff.
- Executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and performing regular inspections to identify and resolve potential facility issues.
- Handling general repairs such as fixing leaks, broken fixtures, doors, walls, and performing minor improvements like flooring replacement, furniture repairs, and painting touch-ups.
- Managing outdoor maintenance including grass cutting and hedge trimming to maintain exterior areas.
- Complying strictly with safety regulations during all maintenance activities to ensure workplace safety.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in both preventative and corrective maintenance of fire alarm and firefighting systems.
- Proficiency across various maintenance tasks and environments with a focus on PPM.
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance standards and procedures.
- Basic IT competency to support daily operational duties.

Working Conditions
This is a permanent role with 42.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, with possible flexibility offered.
