Role Summary

We are looking for a remote Macroeconomist to support a client in the technology sector. The position is based anywhere, with compensation offered competitively and aligned to experience.

What You’ll Do

You will develop and maintain macroeconomic models in EViews, assess economic trends, build forecasting scenarios, and turn analytical findings into practical recommendations that support strategic choices. The role plays an important part in guiding policy and operational direction through reliable data-driven analysis.

Key Duties

  • Create, test, and improve macroeconomic models in EViews to evaluate policy effects and possible economic outcomes.
  • Study both historical and live economic data to spot patterns and strengthen model assumptions.
  • Work with stakeholders to convert model results into clear actions for business or policy decisions.
  • Record methods, assumptions, and model limitations to support transparency and repeatability.
  • Share results with non-technical audiences through well-structured reports and presentations.

Required Background

  • Strong hands-on experience with EViews for time-series econometrics and forecasting.
  • Solid grounding in macroeconomics, econometrics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Ability to analyze data, apply statistical modeling, and interpret economic indicators accurately.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting custom EViews scripts for automation and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for explaining complex economic ideas to varied audiences.

Additional Opportunity Details

This is a chance to work on high-impact economic modeling assignments with a global technology client. The scope includes forecasting, policy analysis, and strategic advisory work, offering exposure to advanced tools and modern methodologies in a fast-moving environment.

Equal Opportunity

Hiring is based strictly on capability and relevant expertise. Candidates from all backgrounds are welcome, and applications are reviewed only on demonstrated technical skill and qualifications.
