Position overview

Courtyard by Marriott is hiring a Loss Prevention Supervisor in Singapore. This is a full-time, non-management role based onsite at 99 Irrawaddy Road, Novena, Singapore 329568. The role sits within the Loss Prevention & Security function and supports the protection of guests, employees, and company property.

What you will do

You will oversee day-to-day safety and security activities across the property. The role includes patrolling the premises, securing guest rooms when needed, supporting room access for guests, and handling access control for restricted areas. You will also monitor CCTV and alarm systems, carry out emergency drills, complete hazard and safety checks, and assist with investigations, interviews, and key control audits.

  • Respond to emergencies, accidents, and disturbances while following company procedures.
  • Coordinate with EMS when needed and provide first aid or CPR if required.
  • Document incidents accurately and keep reports confidential.
  • Escort unauthorized individuals off the property when necessary.
  • Support compliance with alcohol-related control laws and other safety regulations.
  • Issue the necessary paperwork and records to employees.

Leadership and guest service duties

In addition to security work, this position supports team leadership and guest experience. You may help train, coach, and motivate employees, act as a role model, and serve as the first point of contact for concerns raised through the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. You are expected to handle guest interactions professionally, speak clearly, answer calls appropriately, and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.

Working conditions and physical requirements

The job requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in demanding physical conditions. You may need to read small print, inspect equipment visually, enter information into computers or POS systems, move quickly in response to incidents, and remain standing, sitting, or walking for long periods. The role can also involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without help and more than 75 pounds with assistance. Other tasks may include reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, moving through narrow or elevated spaces, and navigating stairs, ramps, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Requirements

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is specified, although some locations may require additional licensing or registration under local rules.
