Logistics Supervisor (w/m/d)

About the Role

Take on a dynamic position beyond desk work and join the GLS family as a motivated and responsible Shift Supervisor in Mannheim. This permanent full-time role starts immediately, requiring you to lead and support our logistics team during alternating weekly shifts: afternoons from 12:00 to 20:00 and nights from 20:00 to 04:00, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the hall team to ensure efficient loading and unloading operations and accurate package sorting.
• Enhance conveyor belt utilization while overseeing all operational processes.
• Coordinate team schedules and vacation planning to maintain smooth workflows.
• Collaborate closely with production management and provide consistent reporting.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Confident demeanor with an independent approach to work and strong communication skills.
• Experience in courier, express, and parcel (CEP) or forwarding sectors preferred; motivated career changers are also welcome.
• A strong commitment to quality and dedication towards team success.
• Proactive, goal-driven mentality paired with good interpersonal awareness.
