Logistics Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team on a contract basis at our Santa Ana, CA location. In this role, you will monitor and analyze key operational and financial indicators regularly, investigate discrepancies between expected and actual performance, and prepare detailed reports and recommendations as requested by team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently track and examine important operational and financial metrics.
• Identify root causes for any variances between forecasted and actual results.
• Generate analyses, reports, and suggestions to support decision-making by department heads.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel; familiarity with Word and PowerPoint is also necessary.
• Ability to effectively apply accounting and mathematical concepts in daily tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
• Experience using software such as SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.

Compensation and Benefits

This position pays $35.71 per hour. Eligible employees can receive overtime pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week, in accordance with applicable laws.
