About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to contribute to a major international sporting event scheduled in Saudi Arabia. This contract position, based in Riyadh, runs from August 2026 through February 2027. The successful applicant will manage and execute logistics across several venues and operational locations, ensuring smooth coordination and on-time delivery of all event materials and assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations at multiple event sites.
  • Strategize and manage the movement of equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for the event.
  • Track shipments and inventory to guarantee prompt availability of resources.
  • Liaise effectively with vendors, freight carriers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with inventory control, warehousing, storage, and distribution efforts.
  • Coordinate timely deployment, transfer, and retrieval of event-related assets.
  • Plan transportation routes and schedules to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records including logistics trackers, inventory logs, and operational reports.
  • Create and update dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify patterns, potential risks, and opportunities to enhance processes.
  • Regularly report logistics KPI statuses to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational guidelines, health and safety regulations, and event-specific protocols.
  • Support contingency measures to address logistics challenges proactively.
  • Contribute to logistics planning meetings and briefing sessions.
  • Keep accurate documentation such as delivery confirmations, asset inventories, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Assist with post-event logistics including asset recovery and inventory finalization.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Preferred educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or coordination fields.
  • Experience in supporting large-scale events, sports competitions, exhibitions, or similar projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI for building dashboards, reports, and visual data representations is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, and data analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, or logistics management software is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational talents coupled with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • High levels of detail orientation and accuracy in work.
