Logistics Operations Manager

About the Role

Sea and Beyond is seeking an experienced Manager for Operations specializing in Projects and Special Cargo, focusing on Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC) management. This role requires overseeing the complete lifecycle of ODC shipments, including vessel and container planning, carrier partnerships, and customer interactions to ensure seamless project cargo transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute ODC shipments comprehensively from start to finish.
• Manage vessel bookings and coordinate with carriers to facilitate cargo movement.
• Prepare and negotiate freight rates and maintain effective communication with customers.
• Oversee container inventory, manage necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Track operational performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous process enhancements.
• Ensure all post-shipment documentation is processed promptly and keep customers informed about shipment status.

Candidate Profile

• Possess over 8 years of professional experience in project cargo handling, shipping, or freight forwarding sectors.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of ODC operations, vessel scheduling, and carrier management.
• Skilled in rate negotiations and managing customer relationships effectively.
• Exhibit excellent coordination abilities, communication proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
