Role Overview
This position is for a detail-oriented logistics professional who can own transportation execution from end to end, including dispatch planning, warehouse coordination, freight handling, and transporter management. The role partners closely with procurement, warehousing, sales, manufacturing, and logistics vendors to keep deliveries on schedule, control transportation spend, and uphold service standards. The right candidate will bring strong operational discipline, analytical thinking, and the ability to handle logistics in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activity so shipments leave on time and customer commitments are met.
- Oversee primary and secondary transportation flows and track shipment movement closely.
- Work with warehouses, transporters, and internal teams to keep logistics execution smooth.
- Source, onboard, and manage transporters and other logistics service providers.
- Negotiate freight pricing and contract terms to improve transportation cost efficiency.
- Track vehicle usage, freight spend, transit timelines, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to confirm inventory availability and dispatch readiness.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and resolve issues related to dispatches.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
- Review vendor performance and ensure freight bills are verified and paid on time.
- Prepare and check logistics documents such as e-way bills, invoices, LR copies, PODs, and related records.
- Ensure adherence to statutory rules, internal policies, and customer-specific requirements.
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards for logistics performance.
- Study logistics costs and identify opportunities to reduce spend and improve efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in route planning, cost optimization, and operations efficiency.
- Contribute to logistics digitization and automation initiatives wherever relevant.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
- An MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations is preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience working with transporters, freight vendors, and logistics service providers.
- Solid understanding of transportation planning, dispatch control, and warehouse coordination.
- Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, ERPNext, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, along with good command over Excel and logistics dashboards.
- Working knowledge of logistics documentation, compliance, and freight processes.
- Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfort working in a high-speed environment with strong ownership and accountability.

Work Location
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
