Role Overview
The Logistics and Stock Administrator is vital to ensuring the Planning team operates effectively by managing stock control, logistics coordination, and inventory administration. This role is essential in maintaining stock accuracy, orchestrating warehouse activities, and guaranteeing prompt dispatches at both internal and external storage sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep stock records precise through daily inventory reconciliations and control procedures.
- Manage stock transfers between the facility and partner warehouses.
- Oversee dispatch activities by verifying orders and resolving stock or logistics concerns swiftly.
- Assist Site Planners in stock procurement and verifying inventory availability.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in stock, diagnosing underlying causes and proposing enhancements to processes.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and reporting to underpin stock control efforts.
- Participate in compiling daily and weekly KPI data and operational assessments.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all stock and logistics inquiries within the site.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will demonstrate a sharp eye for detail and accuracy, with exceptional organizational and time management abilities. They must communicate confidently, solve problems effectively, and maintain a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvements. Collaborative skills for working dynamically within a busy team environment are also crucial.
Experience and Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a strong command of Excel functions including formulas, sorting, filtering, and handling large datasets.
- Background in stock control, logistics, planning, or related administrative roles is preferred.
- Experience managing spreadsheets, reports, and inventory records adeptly.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.
