  • Coordinate dispatch of dump trailers and scows to move material into the Whitby Mill and Shredder as needed.
  • Support the preparation, review, and verification of shipping processes and procedures.
  • Assist in negotiating confidential contracts, rates, and service agreements with dump trailer and scow carriers, with a focus on cost effectiveness.
  • Review, interpret, and share large volumes of sensitive and classified information.
  • Evaluate new pricing proposals, market conditions, increases, and rate adjustments to judge carrier competitiveness.
  • Work closely with transportation vendors, internal departments, site leaders, regional transportation managers, and mill shipping supervisors to gather and provide logistics information.
  • Review and process transportation-related issues raised by customers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and submit freight claim documents to transportation vendors in line with policy, and share claim details with logistics, commercial, and finance teams as required.
  • Help investigate payment variances and correct issues caused by data-entry errors.
  • Provide additional support to shipping sites, sales teams, or customers as business needs arise.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least two years of logistics experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access.
