Job description
Role overview
This role is centered on running the branch business for secured lending products at Aditya Birla Capital. The position carries responsibility for growth, profit and loss ownership, team leadership, sourcing, credit quality, operational efficiency, and full compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Business and revenue ownership
- Take responsibility for branch-level business goals across secured loan offerings and ensure they are met.
- Build and sustain the DSA network by focusing on empanelment, activation, productivity, and retention.
- Strengthen local sourcing channels by developing relationships with builders, chartered accountants, connectors, lawyers, and SMEs.
- Manage loan ticket sizes from 5 lakh to 3 crore, depending on the geography and customer profile.
- Track performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis and implement corrective measures when required.
Team leadership
- Lead, coach, and oversee the sales and operations teams.
- Improve team output through capability building, performance reviews, and ongoing tracking.
- Create and maintain a strong sales-oriented culture with ethical conduct.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluation of team members.
Credit quality and operations
- Ensure sourcing and processing follow credit underwriting standards and risk policies.
- Keep watch on portfolio health, delinquency trends, and early warning signs.
- Work with credit, legal, and operations teams to achieve timely disbursements.
- Reduce turnaround time while maintaining a smooth customer experience.
Compliance and control
- Maintain branch adherence to internal controls, regulatory rules, and audit expectations.
- Ensure documents are complete and processes are followed properly across all sourcing channels.
Stakeholder management
- Serve as the overall owner of the branch operations and performance.
- Coordinate effectively with regional, credit, operations, and product stakeholders.
- Represent the company in the local market with strong visibility and credibility.
Education and experience
The preferred academic background is a graduate in any discipline. A postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance or Marketing is an added advantage. The role calls for 5 to 12 years of experience in secured lending within NBFCs, banks, or HFCs, along with proven branch handling and team management exposure.
Additional requirements
- Hands-on experience in DSA channel management and direct sourcing is important.
- A sound understanding of secured loan products, credit assessment, and documentation is expected.
