Job description
Role Overview
This role is responsible for managing the Shimla location’s retail secured business with a strong focus on sales planning, operational control, customer acquisition, cross-sell execution, team leadership, and portfolio risk oversight. The position works closely with the Territory Head (Sales) to translate business goals into local action and to keep sales, service, and compliance aligned.
Branch Sales Planning and Management
- Partner with the Territory Head (Sales) to build the location sales plan and team approach, taking into account product fit, market conditions, competitor activity, and local business trends, and then communicate the plan across the location team.
- Regularly monitor industry shifts, market movement, and competitor offerings within the local geography.
- Take ownership of the full location operation and business performance, including sourcing, effectiveness, governance, productivity, and channel management.
- Monitor and share key sales operating metrics and productivity indicators while helping create a high-performance sales environment.
- Handle routine administration and daily functioning of the location.
- Prepare, review, and share periodic MIS inputs and reports covering disbursements, profitability, NPAs, market expansion, and related metrics with the Territory Head (Sales) and the team.
Customer Acquisition and Engagement
- Identify local opportunities for business growth and lead initiatives that expand the customer base and build the targeted book size.
- Work alongside team members on complex or critical transactions to help secure closure and maintain strong customer experience.
- Communicate sales targets clearly and ensure the team understands business objectives, role expectations, product features, and key selling points.
- Track complaints and escalations in the complaint system, coordinating with the right stakeholders until cases are closed satisfactorily.
- Act on customer satisfaction survey outcomes and NPS findings in consultation with the Territory Head (Sales), focusing on the identified improvement areas.
- Introduce approved solutions and schemes to support business growth and profitability while balancing revenue expansion with cost control.
- Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns and resolve grievances effectively, especially for important client relationships.
Operational Effectiveness
- Promote efficient business processes across the customer lifecycle, including sourcing, approvals, servicing, and collections.
- Manage local distribution across channels and work with senior or critical stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Improve turnaround times and process efficiency by coordinating with Risk, Operations, Sales Governance, and other functions.
- Strengthen business performance through continuous monitoring of sales activity, productivity, client engagement, and achievement of growth objectives.
- Implement better operating practices and process improvements that raise productivity and business impact.
Cross-Selling Across ABFSG Products
- Lead cross-selling initiatives for the team in line with the strategy agreed with the Territory Head (Sales).
- Support team adoption of the cross-sell approach through communication, training, and ongoing guidance.
Team and Internal Stakeholder Management
- Coach and develop team members so they can perform better in acquisition and customer engagement activities.
- Recommend team members for technical and behavioral learning programs and continue working on self-development as well.
- Coordinate proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment and smooth business execution.
Portfolio and Risk Management
- Coordinate with Risk, Operations, and Sales Governance teams to maintain strong risk controls and adherence to policies.
- Support the credit approval journey by reviewing sanctioning, disbursement, and documentation to ensure controlled operations.
- Analyze city and location MIS and data analytics reports to assess financial risk exposure.
- Promote compliant sales operations and strong risk management, including timely PDD closure and collections support.
- For institutional relationships, review client account and business performance reports, work with Risk, and guide the team on delinquency management.
- Train the team on early alert methods to help reduce NPA risk and related losses.
- Maintain systematic MIS tracking for NPAs and credit trends and provide inputs on risks that may affect portfolio quality.
