Responsibilities
- Complete investigations within an appropriate turnaround time and issue investigation reports promptly after closure.
- Work with law enforcement bodies and industry stakeholders as needed during investigations.
- Support monetary recovery in fraud-related cases according to the applicable penalty matrix.
- Carry out mystery shopping and seeding activities where required.
- Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and other initiatives to strengthen controls.
- Perform root cause analysis, spot process gaps, and recommend fraud-mitigation actions.
- Coordinate with the legal team for police complaints and FIR filings.
- Support internal audits, regulatory compliance, and closure of open audit items.
- Manage external vendors related to the function.
- Maintain MIS, incident, cyber fraud, and verification trackers, and process related bills.
- Prepare periodic dashboards and data reports for management and committee reviews.
- Drive awareness initiatives with learning and development and marketing teams.
- Create training and awareness material on fraud-related topics for employees and the public.
- Handle self-learning, staff training, team engagement, agency coordination, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
- Prior experience in collections for mid-market or corporate customers.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- High integrity and sound ethical judgment.
- Clear communication and reporting skills.
- Structured, process-driven approach with an innovative mindset.
- Ability to network effectively and manage stakeholders well.
- Comfort with complex deal structures and related business scenarios.
- Willingness to travel and work on-ground for collection-related activities.
- Technical familiarity with MIS tools and fraud systems.
