Job description
Role summary
The purpose of this position is to deliver structured training for FLS and USMs, helping them strengthen product understanding and improve selling and recruitment capabilities through induction and periodic development interventions. The role is intended to support better performance across the territory and lift overall productivity.
Job context and challenges
This position comes with several operational challenges, including encouraging trainees—particularly advisors, who are not salaried employees—to attend training and invest time in skill development. The role also spans a wide geography with multiple branches, an existing sales universe, and new hires, which can affect training coverage and consistency. Additional challenges include dispersed locations, limited training infrastructure, and insufficient training enablers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and roll out the regional training framework so that learning interventions translate into the right capability building and performance outcomes.
- Create and execute the monthly branch-wise training plan covering selling skills, product refreshers, and other relevant learning topics.
- Work closely with the sales leadership structure to secure commitment to training initiatives and ensure follow-through on post-training actions.
- Drive awareness and adoption of sales tools and supporting aids among the field teams.
- Take charge of training-related execution during major business events such as new product launches, fund launches, and regulatory changes, ensuring timely communication and accurate rollout.
- Implement learning interventions that address regional issues and help capture local business opportunities.
- Support training initiatives aligned with seasonal business needs and opportunities.
- Deliver measurable productivity improvement through effective training delivery, team goal setting, stakeholder alignment, and on-ground support.
- Handle training administration by ensuring proper planning, documentation, expense control, and related process adherence for self and team members.
Relationships
The role interacts regularly with internal sales teams for day-to-day updates, training coordination, and communication of training interventions. Externally, it also engages with sales stakeholders on a daily basis to support training delivery and capability building.
