Job Overview
Followmont Transport Pty Ltd in Bundaberg, Queensland, is seeking motivated and customer-oriented individuals to join their team as Local HR Drivers. The role involves driving HR trucks locally, delivering general freight to support the Cairns Branch and surrounding areas while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Transport general freight locally to support the Cairns branch and community.
- Complete required paperwork including pre-start checks, run sheets, proof of delivery (PODs), and logbooks.
- Use IT systems such as PDAs to scan freight and capture live signatures.
- Perform manual handling tasks, such as opening and closing gates and pulling truck curtains.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and company standards to ensure accurate and safe delivery of goods.
- Maintain a steady, methodical work pace to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Current HR driver's license with some experience driving MR/LR class vehicles.
- Preferably some previous experience in truck driving or the transport sector.
- Forklift license and experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination including drug and alcohol testing.
- Successful completion of a criminal history check after the interview stage.
- Professional attitude with a strong commitment to accountability and goal achievement.
- Ability to consistently produce detailed, high-quality work following established procedures and guidelines.
- Comfortable working in a stable environment with routine tasks and processes.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with peers and management ensuring efficient and error-free operations.
