It is recognised as a market leader in linehaul transport and freight solutions, supporting a wide range of major national customers. The group operates a fleet of 100 prime movers, more than 450 trailers, and 30,000 sqm of warehousing. It has built a strong standing in the transport sector through its emphasis on customer service, safety, and compliance.

Role Overview

GTS is looking for an experienced HR Driver based in Adelaide to join its day shift team operating from the Burton site. The shift runs from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime available when required.

Key Duties

  • Carry out pre-start vehicle inspections and confirm the vehicle is fit for duty.
  • Deliver allocated freight to designated destinations within customer time windows.
  • Load and unload trailers as part of daily operations.
  • Secure loads in line with National Load Restraint Guidelines.
  • Refuel vehicles and maintain the cleanliness of assigned equipment.
  • Report mechanical issues, delivery delays, and any freight-related problems without delay.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will hold a current HR licence and bring at least 2 years of HR driving experience. You should be dependable, enthusiastic, punctual, and able to communicate clearly. A strong commitment to safety is essential. Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation will be viewed favourably. The role includes training and induction, and applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Employment Checks

To be considered for permanent full-time employment, you will need to satisfy pre-employment requirements that may include a Federal Police Check, a full medical assessment with functional testing, and drug and alcohol screening both before joining and at random intervals.

Compensation and Work Environment

This position offers a base rate of $34 per hour as a full-time ongoing employee. You will be working with roadworthy vehicles in a clean, safe, and healthy workplace with a strong safety record.
