Job Overview
This role involves assisting with the oversight, reporting, and execution of Local Content obligations and objectives within the organization, guaranteeing alignment with relevant laws and contract terms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate and update Local Content reports, dashboards, key performance indicators, and periodic status summaries.
- Gather, examine, and confirm accuracy of data from procurement, suppliers, financials, costs, payroll, and other sources necessary for Local Content reporting.
- Assist in preparing and submitting Local Content audit documents and liaise with external auditors.
- Track Local Content outcomes versus targets, highlight gaps and potential risks that could affect goal attainment.
- Contribute to creating and monitoring mitigation and corrective strategies addressing Local Content risks and deficiencies.
- Keep informed about Local Content laws, guidelines, and documentation from LCGPA and ensure updates are integrated into processes and reports.
- Observe updates in Local Content targets and support strategies to fulfill upcoming goals.
- Collaborate with departments such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Support activities including local supplier enrollment, supplier capability enhancement, and initiatives aimed at increasing localization.
- Identify prospects to boost Local Content via procurement and sourcing tasks.
- Maintain thorough Local Content records, databases, and essential documentation.
- Monitor Local Content commitments, actions, and deadlines closely.
- Develop presentations and provide updates on Local Content performance to management.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing refinement of Local Content procedures.
- Carry out additional Local Content-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Two to five years of professional experience in fields such as Local Content, Procurement, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, Finance, or Accounting.
- Prior experience in Local Content reporting is advantageous; familiarity with compliance, auditing, financial data evaluation, and supplier development is preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial and procurement data including cost analysis, expenditure tracking, and financial report generation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong capabilities in analytics, reporting, communication, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and adhering to deadlines.
