Lobby Houseperson

Role overview

The lobby houseperson keeps the hotel’s public spaces clean, presentable, and aligned with brand and property standards. This role also supports guest satisfaction by addressing complaints and requests, while following safety, housekeeping, and security procedures throughout the shift.

Key duties

• Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and changing shifts.
• Respond to guest concerns in a professional manner and help ensure guests leave satisfied.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness standards in all assigned areas during daily work.
• Follow all house rules, safety rules, housekeeping processes, and security guidelines.
• Clean and service assigned public areas in line with franchise and hotel expectations.
• Return the cart and replenish supplies at the end of the shift.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal cleaning tasks.
• Take on other assigned housekeeping duties as needed.
• Clean hotel public areas as assigned and keep them within the property’s cleanliness standards.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with guest requests or complaints.
• Protect the privacy and security of guest rooms and guest information.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience is required; hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.
• You should be able to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and teammates.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling is needed.
• Being fluent in both English and Spanish is considered an advantage.
