Role Overview
JN Small Business Loans Limited is inviting applications for a Loan Receivable Officer based in the Mandeville/Christiana areas (Region 4). The officer will oversee and administer current loan receivables, focusing on accounts that have become or are at risk of becoming seriously delinquent. Working closely with the Client Relations Manager, the Loan Receivable Officer will propose and implement collection strategies and negotiate acceptable repayment agreements with borrowers facing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all required collection and repossession documents for bailiff handover.
- Recommend deployment of bailiffs or the start of legal action when necessary.
- Oversee all bailiff administration activities.
- Conduct collection visits in various regional locations a minimum of four times monthly as per targets set by the Client Relations Manager.
- Identify accounts for bailiff assignment when collection attempts have failed.
- Manage the seizure, safekeeping, and sale of repossessed assets.
- Monitor borrowers’ compliance with agreed loan repayment arrangements.
- Report regularly on loan volumes assigned to bailiffs and update collection monetary values for assigned clients.
- Draft official communications regarding fees (e.g., bailiff or repossession fees) to be charged to client accounts.
- Provide reports on developments or challenges within the micro-finance collection sector.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in selling and servicing small business credit.
