Job description
Position Summary
The organization has been operating for more than three decades, serving the petrochemical and manufacturing sectors in the U.S. and abroad. With a Gulf Coast presence, it delivers training, occupational health services, and practical industry-focused solutions. In this role, the Live Online Proctor oversees trainees during virtual lab sessions and helps ensure a smooth, secure testing experience.
Key Duties
- Welcome trainees, confirm their identity, and complete the check-in process before testing begins.
- Keep an active watch on trainees throughout the training or exam session.
- Communicate lab rules and company policies when needed so participants follow HASC standards.
- Clarify how the course or exam will run and answer process-related questions.
- Provide basic technical help with navigation, logins, and equipment setup.
- Follow the test procedures for each exam and maintain the required security and quality standards.
- Escalate any suspected misconduct or irregular activity to management without delay.
- Maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful presence at all times.
- Step in to cover lunch and break periods as needed.
- Promptly report course issues or discrepancies to the Supervisor of Live Online Proctoring.
- Handle other duties assigned by management.

- Strong background in customer service.

- Able to work in a quiet setting and learn detailed procedures.
- Capable of staying composed under pressure and making sound decisions.
- Willingness to cross-train and support other departments when needed.
- For Louisiana locations, proficiency across CSR functions such as proctoring and check-in is expected.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of HASC’s mission, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to use Windows-based Microsoft Office applications and web browsers.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at alternate locations if business needs require it.
Physical Requirements
This position involves frequent reading, speaking, and listening. Regular movement includes standing, walking, and sitting, along with use of the hands for handling training equipment and tools. The role may also require reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The job is generally based in an office setting and may include travel as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be provided so qualified individuals with disabilities can perform the essential functions.
Reporting Structure
The Live Online Proctor reports to the Supervisor of Live Online Proctoring. For Louisiana locations, reporting may instead go to the Operations Manager or the site Supervisor on duty. This position does not manage direct reports.
