Role overview

Kinetic plc is hiring a permanent Linisher for a manufacturing setting in Lytham St Anne’s, England. The role suits someone with hands-on experience in sheet metal finishing, especially using linishing equipment and polishing metal surfaces. The position offers a 37-hour working week across four days, Monday to Thursday, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Working pattern and pay

This is a full-time on-site role with hours from 07:00 to 16:30, Monday to Thursday. The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour, and overtime may be available. The first 2 extra hours each day are paid at time and a third, while additional hours are paid at time and a half.

What the role involves

• Operating linishing equipment to finish and polish sheet metal parts.
• Working within a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• Carrying out fault-finding and resolving operational issues as they arise.

Skills and experience needed

• Previous experience as a linisher or metal polisher.
• Background in manufacturing, preferably sheet metal production.
• Hands-on experience with linishing machinery.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and cope under pressure when needed.
• Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and a practical, results-focused approach.
• Ability to collaborate well with colleagues and gain support when needed.
