Light Duty Driver

About the Role

Al Tayer Group is seeking a dedicated Light Duty Driver to join their operations team in Dubai. The primary role involves the timely and safe delivery of items and products from the warehouse to retail stores, ensuring all documentation is accurate and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Receive and adhere to the vehicle delivery schedule provided by the delivery supervisor, ensuring timely deliveries to stores.
• Handle all items with utmost care during transit to prevent any damage.
• Address any complaints or concerns from stores regarding the delivery process or damages courteously, escalating issues to the delivery supervisor or Customer Service for resolution.
• Systematically organize and maintain all store acknowledgements and receipts, submitting them promptly to the delivery supervisor.
• Regularly inspect the delivery vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and in optimal condition.
• Adhere to and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices to minimize risks of property damage and personal injury, actively encouraging colleagues to follow company HSE procedures.
• Conduct thorough checks of cartons for quality and quantity during the loading process.
• Ensure all returned items and stock transfers from stores to the warehouse are handed over to the warehouse storekeeper on the same day, obtaining a signed acknowledgement as proof of delivery (POD).

Requirements

• Possession of a valid UAE driving license (#3 manual).
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in furniture or retail delivery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on excellent customer handling.
• High school or pre-degree level education.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Dubai.
