Lifting Appointed Person

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi is for a Lifting Appointed Person responsible for the oversight and management of lifting activities. The role includes developing lifting plans, overseeing lifting operations, and ensuring strict adherence to both local and international safety standards along with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all lifting tasks to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Prepare detailed lifting plans aligned with regulatory and company requirements.
• Evaluate lifting risks and determine suitable lifting equipment.
• Liaise with crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors to manage operational activities.
• Verify that lifting equipment has been inspected and certified prior to use.
• Promote accident prevention through proactive involvement in health, safety, and environment (HSE) initiatives.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to ongoing improvements in lifting processes.

Mandatory Experience and Qualifications

• Possession of LEEA - APLO certification is compulsory.
• Prior approval by ADNOC is considered an advantage.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in lifting operations, preferably within construction, oil and gas, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of applicable lifting regulations, HSE standards, and safe working practices.
• Capability to accurately interpret technical drawings, lift plans, and equipment specifications.
