About the Role
Spread Your Wings LLC is seeking a dedicated Life Skills Coach to provide independent living support to individuals with developmental disabilities in San Jose and nearby areas. This full-time, onsite role runs Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM. The position requires bilingual ability in English and Spanish and offers a meaningful career path within a growing social services company founded in 2015.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide clients in developing essential independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and hygiene.
- Offer encouragement, motivation, and support to clients with developmental and behavioral challenges.
- Design, plan, and organize personalized weekly goals and schedules aligned with client needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation including case notes and quarterly progress reports.
- Spend approximately 90% of time directly engaged with clients and 10% on administrative duties.
- Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training personnel to optimize client outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and dependable personal transportation.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to commute and work within San Jose and surrounding areas.
- Successfully pass a background check according to state industry regulations.
- Familiarity with basic computer skills including MS Word, email communication, and simple data entry.

- Strong passion for supporting others, maintaining respect and dignity in care.
- Effective communication skills, reliability, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules according to client requirements.
- Comfortable working independently in one-on-one client settings.
- Experience in behavioral health is advantageous but not required.
