About the Role

This permanent full-time role offers the chance to join a dedicated Licensing team focused on regulating key community activities. The position involves administering and enforcing legislation related to licences for alcohol, taxis, gambling, street trading, and late-night refreshments in the local area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enforce legislations governing licensed community activities such as alcohol sales, taxi operation, gambling, street trading, and late-night food services.
  • Handle licence application processing, respond to enquiries and complaints, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to relevant policies and timelines.
  • Provide support for enforcement operations and offer guidance to applicants and stakeholders involved in licensing processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in an administrative position involving application processing and system updates is essential.
  • Excellent organizational abilities along with strong communication skills are necessary for successful performance.
  • A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory for this post.
