Job description

Overview

Micron Technology is looking for a Learning Ecosystem Product Manager to strengthen and scale its enterprise learning environment. The role focuses on disciplined intake, prioritization, and governance for the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), which serves as the main entry point into the learning ecosystem.

This is a cross-functional position that sits at the intersection of product management, governance, and enterprise learning systems. Rather than working only at the platform layer, the role helps shape how demand is handled, how decisions are made, and how the wider ecosystem evolves in a controlled and value-focused way.

The position is intended for someone who can act as a control and coordination layer for a complex learning ecosystem, bringing structure to demand, clarity to decisions, and alignment across stakeholders.

Enterprise Context

Micron’s broader mission is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. The company develops memory and storage solutions that support innovation across areas such as virtual reality, neural networks, artificial intelligence, 5G, data centers, and intelligent edge experiences. The organization emphasizes integrity, sustainability, inclusion, and community contribution.

Scope of the Role

The role is not limited to the learning platform alone. Governance decisions must align with the wider ecosystem, including skills architecture, career pathways and mobility, leadership development and behavior standards, and workforce capability and talent strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Run the enterprise LXP intake process as the single consolidated entry point for platform and ecosystem requests.
  • Set and uphold standards that define what a strong, well-formed request should look like.
  • Review, triage, and qualify incoming requests so they align with enterprise ecosystem priorities.
  • Keep full visibility into demand and apply consistent evaluation across all stakeholders.
  • Own the enterprise LXP backlog and prioritization approach as the main control mechanism for ecosystem evolution.
  • Convert demand into a sequenced roadmap and release plan tied to learning, skills, and career priorities.
  • Maintain a steady release rhythm and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Balance competing needs across platform enhancements, integrations, and experience improvements.
  • Define and apply integration criteria to ensure fit with enterprise learning, skills, and career architecture.
  • Approve or decline requests based on enterprise value, ecosystem fit, and long-term sustainability.
  • Prevent duplication, fragmentation, and misalignment across the learning ecosystem.
  • Protect system integrity and make sure changes follow enterprise standards.
  • Design and facilitate governance forums such as intake reviews and prioritization boards.
  • Create and maintain governance materials, including intake templates, backlog trackers, decision logs, and status reports.
  • Bring transparency to ownership, rationale, trade-offs, and delivery timing.
  • Make sure platform and intake decisions support the broader learning ecosystem strategy.
  • Turn ecosystem requirements into decisions that can be executed by the system.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to align strategy, execution, and system enablement.

Requirements

  • Proven background in managing products, platforms, or enterprise systems with a structured, product-led approach.
  • Strong experience in governance design, prioritization methods, and backlog management.
  • Ability to handle competing stakeholder needs and make trade-off calls in complex settings.
  • Track record of working across business, IT, and functional teams to build alignment without direct authority.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to connect platform decisions to business and talent outcomes.
  • Capability to work independently with strong ownership in a global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, program management, enterprise platforms, or governance roles.
  • Experience in a global enterprise setting is preferred.
  • Exposure to LXP ecosystems, digital platforms, or enterprise system implementations is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management, intake models, and release governance practices is preferred.
  • Experience across HR, workforce development, or talent systems is a plus, though not mandatory.
