As a Recovery Associate, you will help maintain the store’s appearance, keep merchandise properly returned and stocked, and support a clean, organized, and customer-friendly shopping environment. Providing helpful and courteous service to customers is a core part of the position.

Key Duties

The main objective of the role is to support store recovery and presentation standards while keeping shelves stocked and the sales floor organized. You will also be expected to deliver a strong customer experience.

Work Expectations

• Welcome customers from within about ten feet and help create a friendly shopping environment.
• Guide shoppers toward suitable purchase decisions.
• Deliver consistently strong customer service so visits are pleasant and productive.
• Sort, replenish, and arrange merchandise to support effective product displays.
• Stay familiar with featured items and know where they are located in the store.
• Complete the daily recovery routine for assigned departments.
• Keep departments tidy by wiping shelves and sweeping underneath them.
• Follow the Indoor Merchandising Guide requirements for the assigned area.
• Make sure restrooms remain clean and properly maintained.
• Follow safety practices and proper material-handling methods.
• Use standard office tools and equipment such as a phone, copier, fax machine, calculator, and computer.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment as needed.
• Cross-train across departments to remain flexible in changing store needs.
• Take part in training sessions, workshops, and webinars to build skills and stay current.
• Offer prompt, professional support to internal team members and external customers.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Supervision

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Success Profile

• Comfort working in a fast-moving team environment while staying flexible, proactive, and organized.
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Capable of using computer systems and software to assist customers and manage tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid customer service ability.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, or pull at least 30 pounds and move 31 to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack.
• Ability to move throughout and access all parts of the facility.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and through electronic devices.
• Close vision sufficient for computer-based work.
