Job description
Role overview
This position supports government relations and mobility operations for GE Vernova entities in Saudi Arabia. The focus is on immigration, labor, licensing, and regulatory work so day-to-day business activity remains compliant and uninterrupted. The role also serves as a key link between government bodies and internal teams, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and on time.
Core responsibilities
- Manage immigration-related processes such as work permits, Iqama creation and renewals, sponsorship transfers, job title updates, and visa services.
- Take care of exit/re-entry visas, final exit processing, dependent-related services, and passport amendments.
- Support the issuance of business visas, visit visas, and employee mobilization requirements.
- Help employees complete medical checks, biometrics, appointments, and other official requirements.
- Work across government platforms including Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, Municipality, SPL, and National Address systems.
- Assist in renewals and upkeep of company registrations and permits such as CR, MISA, Municipality, Civil Defense, Chamber of Commerce, and related licenses.
- Keep employee records, visa status trackers, and document files accurate and up to date.
- Handle document attestation, certificates of origin, and formal submissions to authorities.
- Partner with HR, Legal, Finance, and Shared Services on government-related matters.
- Monitor work completed by external immigration service vendors and ensure follow-up on open cases.
- Process government fees and support matching and reconciliation with Finance/Treasury.
- Maintain compliance with Saudi labor regulations, Saudization/Nitaqat requirements, and internal company policies.
- Track, investigate, and resolve violations, penalties, and alerts received through Qiwa, Muqeem, and GOSI.
- Support inspections, audits, and responses to official government inquiries.
- Take on other government liaison duties as required and contribute to process improvements and assigned projects.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or college is preferred; a high school qualification with relevant experience is also acceptable.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Saudi government relations, immigration, and labor processes.
- Practical knowledge of Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, Municipality, and similar government portals.
- Direct experience handling visa processing and related government transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with solid organizational skills.
- Must already have the legal right to work in Saudi Arabia without employer sponsorship or any time restriction.
- Prior exposure to multinational environments or organizations with multiple legal entities is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with third-party immigration service providers is an added advantage.
