Role overview

This position focuses on government relations and mobility support for GE Vernova entities and employees in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures that immigration, labor, licensing, and regulatory requirements are handled correctly and on time so day-to-day operations remain compliant and uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage immigration-related processes such as work permits, Iqama issuance and renewals, sponsorship transfers, job title changes, and visa handling.
  • Oversee exit and re-entry visas, final exit processing, dependent-related services, and passport updates.
  • Assist with business visas, visit visas, and employee mobilization activities.
  • Help employees complete medical appointments, biometric steps, bookings, and other government-mandated requirements.
  • Operate and keep updated government systems and portals including Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, Municipality, SPL, and National Address.
  • Support the renewal and upkeep of company registrations and permits such as CR, MISA, Municipality, Civil Defense, Chamber of Commerce, and other approvals.
  • Maintain reliable records for employee visa status, tracking logs, and related documentation.
  • Handle attestations, certificates of origin, and formal government submissions.
  • Liaise with HR, Legal, Finance, and Shared Services on all government-related matters.
  • Monitor work completed by external immigration service providers and follow up on pending cases.
  • Process government payments and coordinate reconciliation activities with Finance and Treasury.
  • Ensure activities remain aligned with Saudi labor regulations, Saudization/Nitaqat requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Track, escalate, and resolve violations, fines, and alerts raised in systems such as Qiwa, Muqeem, and GOSI.
  • Support inspections, audits, and responses to formal government queries.
  • Take on additional government relations tasks as required and contribute to operational improvements and special projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution, or a high school qualification paired with relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Saudi government relations, immigration, and labor procedures.
  • Working knowledge of major Saudi government platforms, including Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, and Municipality systems.
  • Background in visa processing and handling government transactions.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia without employer sponsorship or a time-limited work restriction.
  • Experience with multinational organizations or multiple legal entities is preferred.
  • Prior coordination with third-party immigration service providers is preferred.
