About the Role
Join M-KOPA's expanding People function as a Lead People Partner, responsible for managing the workforce strategy for Kenya, the company’s largest and oldest market. Your role will directly influence how the leadership team in Kenya recruits, retains, and develops the personnel behind M-KOPA’s extensive reach, currently serving over 10 million customers and onboarding 10,000 daily across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
As the strategic human resources advisor, you will lead organizational design, workforce planning, and develop business-aligned people strategies. This includes ownership of talent reviews, performance assessments, succession planning, and employee relations resolution with adherence to Kenyan labor law. You will spearhead organizational changes such as restructuring and transformation projects, and act as the senior escalation point for workforce issues within the Kenya market.
Candidate Requirements
- At least eight years of progressive HR or People Partner experience, including three to six years advising senior executives in dynamic, matrixed organizations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and regulations, with proven experience managing employee relations escalations from start to finish.
- Substantial background in organizational design, workforce planning, and building succession frameworks.
