Job description
Role purpose
This position calls for an accomplished Lead - MEP professional to drive Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work within real estate projects. The role is focused on mixed-use and hospitality developments, with responsibility for leading planning, coordination and execution while ensuring quality, innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the design, installation and commissioning of MEP systems while making sure project needs and industry requirements are met.
- Work closely with architects, engineers and other project partners to ensure MEP systems fit smoothly into the overall design.
- Build and apply practical ideas that improve energy performance and support sustainable outcomes in MEP systems.
- Handle budgeting, estimating and procurement-related work for MEP packages.
- Carry out routine site checks and quality reviews to maintain workmanship and safety standards.
- Guide, support and mentor the MEP team to encourage continuous learning and professional growth.
- Keep up with current industry practices, codes and regulations, and reflect those best practices in project design.
- Coordinate with project management teams to help deliver MEP systems on time and complete final handover successfully.
- Lead the design process independently and manage design consultants effectively.
- Deliver MEP design or design management across hospitality-led mixed-use developments, including retail and office projects, through at least one full project cycle from concept to site completion.
- Manage coordination with senior leadership, development authorities, government bodies and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong design coordination across disciplines such as structure, landscape, traffic and MEP.
- Apply solid project management practices, including clear understanding of deliverables, resource allocation, team responsibilities, issue and risk tracking, communication and escalation.
Qualifications
- B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 18 to 21 years of experience in the real estate sector.
- A proven history of leading MEP projects for mixed-use and hospitality developments.
- Experience in implementing sustainable MEP solutions.
