Position Overview

Placementship is recruiting on behalf of a reputed consulting and professional services firm in Bengaluru, seeking a Lead for Finance & Accounts focused on Client Servicing. This unique opportunity extends beyond traditional accounting tasks, enabling the selected individual to act as a financial consultant for a diverse portfolio of both domestic and international corporate clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee comprehensive finance and accounting activities end-to-end, including statutory compliance and payroll management.
  • Manage client communication, MIS reporting, and coordinate external audits to ensure precise and timely financial documentation.
  • Conduct day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping on an accrual basis, maintaining accurate General Ledger details, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Handle Accounts Payable processes such as vendor management, invoice validation, and payment execution alongside Accounts Receivable tasks including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Supervise banking transactions, cash management, bank reconciliations, foreign exchange reconciliations, asset registers, and maintain consistency between sub-ledgers and the General Ledger.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements and monitor fund requirements.
  • Complete month-end and year-end accounting closure with preparation of Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and detailed financial schedules.
  • Develop Management Information System (MIS) reports providing business insights and variance analyses, and present findings to clients during review meetings.
  • Manage GST compliance activities such as return filing, ITC reconciliation, and refund processing; oversee TDS computation, remittances, filings, and advance tax calculations.
  • Coordinate statutory audit procedures and address audit-related queries promptly.
  • Administer complete payroll processing while ensuring adherence to PF, ESI, Profession Tax, Labour Laws, Gratuity, and statutory deduction regulations.
  • Manage payroll income tax TDS, Form 16 issuance, and conduct payroll reconciliations.
  • Be the principal finance liaison for clients, fostering strong relations with company promoters, CFOs, board members, and global stakeholders by delivering proactive financial analysis and compliance advice.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm or consulting environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices, GST, Income Tax regulations, payroll management, labour law compliance, financial reporting, MIS, statutory audits, and accounts payable/receivable management.
  • Proven capability to handle multiple client accounts independently with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
