Overview
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application review and hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Lead Educational Sales Consultant based in Canada.
The role combines strategic leadership with direct sales ownership in the K-12 education technology market. You will oversee a small group of sales consultants, manage your own territory, and be accountable for revenue growth. The position focuses on understanding the needs of educators and turning those insights into technology solutions that support better learning outcomes. It is a fast-moving, purpose-led, and collaborative environment where you will contribute both as a sales performer and as a mentor to your team.
Accountabilities
- Plan and implement sales approaches that fit market conditions and revenue objectives.
- Guide, coach, and support a team of 2-3 educational sales consultants so they can meet performance targets.
- Own and grow a personal sales pipeline within an assigned territory while delivering on individual revenue goals.
- Study market shifts and customer requirements in the K-12 education space to shape sales execution.
- Monitor, project, and manage key sales metrics to keep performance on track.
- Provide coaching across the sales process to strengthen team results and overall effectiveness.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve messaging, positioning, and customer outreach.
- Travel frequently, approximately 75-80%, to meet clients and support field-based sales activity.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or another relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of sales experience, ideally in EdTech or education-focused technology solutions.
- Previous success in sales leadership, mentorship, or people management.
- Strong knowledge of the K-12 education environment, including classroom needs and how purchasing decisions are made.
- Hands-on classroom or teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to juggle several priorities and stay effective in a fast-paced, goal-oriented setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
- Experience with web-based or SaaS products is considered an advantage.
- A consistent track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
- Strong organization and pipeline management skills, including forecasting and performance tracking.
- Genuine interest in education and using technology to improve learning outcomes.
