Job description

Role overview

This position is centered on turning a five-year strategic vision into practical multi-year plans across the business, working closely with relevant teams. Those plans are then broken down into annual priorities with management to schedule, sequence, and deliver improvements and new capabilities. The role also serves as a senior commercial operations leader with the ability to work at both executive and technical levels, clearly connecting business goals with customer experience outcomes.

Commercial responsibilities

  • Build and roll out processes and technology that standardize ways of working, improve productivity, and strengthen performance across NISHAN.
  • Lead and reinforce the consistent execution of company-wide and department-level initiatives.
  • Work with Sales, Product, and Marketing to improve go-to-market approaches for both new and existing offerings.
  • Own territory planning and business development activities to scale quickly and improve sales results, including creation of commercial support tools and coordination with internal teams.
  • Act as a key partner to the VP of NISHAN Governance & Business Support and other department leaders in shaping strategies, campaigns, and workstreams that support annual growth goals.
  • Work alongside commercial leaders and peers to uncover opportunities that accelerate delivery of the company strategy and vision.
  • Design, implement, and run the programs and processes needed to expand sales and client service operations.
  • Convert strategy into clear action plans that drive annual performance and growth while keeping client and commercial processes efficient and compliant.
  • Create, update, train on, and maintain commercial policies and playbooks, including sales policies, account management guidance, and sales leader playbooks, in collaboration with the relevant leaders.
  • Assess deal economics, commercial terms, operational needs, and any requests that fall outside standard market or company terms.
  • Advise sales and management on the financial impact of policy exceptions such as extended payment terms, foreign exchange exceptions, and client commissions.

Strategic leadership

  • Advise corporate function leadership on targeted growth, operating efficiency, and capital strategy initiatives.
  • Create financially robust, executable, data-backed strategies that enhance shareholder value.
  • Help define, plan, and monitor revenue and market share growth for the company or business unit.
  • Lead operational efficiency efforts that improve profitability.
  • Apply strong financial discipline to initiatives so executive and business teams make value-driven decisions.
  • Contribute to business model design, market strategy development, and merger or acquisition activities that support organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop growth strategies for the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Guide strategy and leadership teams through complex acquisitions, growth transactions, and related strategic decisions.
  • Provide coaching and advisory support to the VP and other senior executives.
  • Prepare business rationale and risk assessments for investments within the scope of the role.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry, community, and press stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Help create a high-performance culture and strengthen strategic planning capability across the organization.
  • Balance immediate priorities with long-term planning and resource investment.
  • Drive major organizational and operational planning efforts, including M&A projects.
  • Influence C-level leaders on a broad range of business topics, including risk management and execution approaches.
  • Bring innovative thinking and help shape the organization’s knowledge base in the area of expertise.
  • Provide strong leadership by setting team goals, developing individuals and departments, and leading change effectively.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or another closely related discipline is required. A professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
