Role Overview

The Lead Client Partner for Key Accounts in the Greater China Region will be responsible for building and expanding strategic partnerships with high-value export advertisers, especially those in Retail and Ecommerce. Acting as a trusted senior advisor, this person will sit at the intersection of business strategy, media expertise, and product innovation to help clients grow on Pinterest.

The role calls for strong commercial judgment, analytical storytelling, and deep understanding of full-funnel advertising. The successful candidate will guide revenue growth, create measurable client outcomes, and influence senior stakeholders, including executive leaders. They will also connect client priorities with Pinterest’s internal teams across Product, Measurement, Creative, and Performance Solutions.

This is a high-visibility external role that blends strategic planning with hands-on execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the long-range growth strategy for a portfolio of top-tier export advertisers across Greater China, including shared partnership goals, success measures, and ongoing investment expansion on Pinterest.
  • Work 6–12 months ahead of customer planning timelines by anticipating needs, aligning with annual and quarterly planning cycles, and positioning Pinterest within broader media strategies.
  • Develop and manage senior relationships with C-suite and VP-level leaders at major partner organizations, representing Pinterest at the highest external level and owning the partnership outcome.
  • Spot and pursue new business opportunities inside current accounts and in adjacent areas, including additional budgets, business lines, and new use cases that can add revenue.
  • Act as the final escalation contact for client concerns and coordinate the appropriate internal teams across Engineering, Measurement & Insights, Product Marketing, Creative Strategy, and Performance Solutions to solve complex issues.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to surface client needs, shape product development priorities, and create tailored solutions for strategic accounts.
  • Set and manage multi-year testing and learning plans with clients, establish a shared measurement framework, and support executive investment decisions through strategic insight.
  • Represent Pinterest in the market through industry events, client discussions, and key vertical programs, while building visibility across the GCR Retail and Ecommerce ecosystem.
  • Present Pinterest’s advertising capabilities across brand, performance, and AI-enabled products in a way that connects product features to business results.
  • Use AI tools and AI-supported workflows to strengthen account management, uncover strategic insights, and speed up client impact.
  • Mentor Client Account Managers and other teammates, raising the quality of delivery and helping maintain a strong team culture.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or a strategic client-facing role, with a strong history of managing major accounts and outperforming revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated success in building and growing relationships with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders at large advertiser or agency organizations.
  • Strong subject-matter expertise in Retail and/or Ecommerce advertising, especially for export-oriented advertisers based in or operating from Greater China.
  • Solid commercial judgment and strategic planning skills, including experience setting multi-year growth plans, defining shared KPIs, and delivering lasting business value.
  • Experience running complex, open-ended initiatives across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including coordinating Product, Engineering, Measurement, and Creative teams.
  • Ability to influence product direction through direct partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Search, Shopping, Display, and/or Social; familiarity with Pinterest Ads Manager or similar platforms like Meta or Google is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with Greater China export advertisers and understanding their market dynamics, business priorities, and global expansion strategies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to incorporate AI tools into strategic work, using AI-based insights to improve recommendations and identify growth opportunities.
  • Business-level Mandarin and English fluency is mandatory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for business as required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
  • The position requires in-office or customer-facing collaboration typically 2 days per week and must be within commuting distance of the Singapore City office.
