Job description

Job Overview

At the Base Maintenance division, highly skilled engineers provide exceptional services for all levels of aircraft inspections, from thorough checks to extensive system repairs. Our scope includes cabin retrofits, aircraft deliveries, and detailed inspection routines for models including the Airbus A380, A350, and Boeing 777. We efficiently manage A and C checks, engine and landing gear replacements, as well as unscheduled and pre-service maintenance tasks.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance work following component maintenance manuals and safety standards set by manufacturers and company policies.
  • Execute component replacements and other maintenance operations under supervision, using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC) as necessary.
  • Operate specialized tools and testing equipment required for component inspection, testing, servicing, or replacement according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders to communicate technical updates and ensure all parties are informed about aircraft serviceability status.
  • Adhere to company documentation procedures by accurately signing off completed maintenance tasks and overseeing tool and equipment maintenance, including systems like Ultramain.
  • Ensure personal and team safety by continually monitoring the work environment, maintaining cleanliness, avoiding hazards, and practicing all safety protocols.
  • Additional Duties for Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA):
    • Maintain and service EFTA's fleet to uphold safety and airworthiness standards.
    • Assist with Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery efforts within EFTA operations and at diversionary locations.
    • Support day-to-day line operations to keep EFTA aircraft clean, prepared, and operational for training schedules.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Vocational, National, or Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent training from a certified airline or maintenance organization.
  • Practical experience in aircraft maintenance within an engineering environment is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance safety, human factors, and general engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with airport regulations concerning Airside Driving and aircraft movements, including navigating ramps, reading signage, and managing safe aircraft positioning when applicable.
  • Possession of a valid Airport Driving Permit as required.
