Role Overview
ZenaTech Inc. is a fast-expanding drone services business in Ireland, providing aerial surveying, mapping, and data-capture services for industries such as construction, engineering, telecommunications, renewable energy, utilities, and infrastructure. The company is hiring a mid-level Land Surveyor to carry out land and engineering survey work, turn geospatial data into accurate outputs, and support project delivery across multiple sectors.
The position is based onsite in Dunboyne, County Meath, Ireland.
What You Will Do
- Perform topographic, boundary, measured building, and engineering surveys at different project locations.
- Work with GPS/GNSS units, total stations, laser scanners, and drone-enabled surveying tools.
- Gather, process, and interpret survey data to create precise drawings, maps, and reports.
- Set up and confirm survey control points and site benchmarks.
- Produce survey outputs using CAD and geospatial software.
- Assist construction and engineering teams with setting out tasks and site verification.
- Ensure survey work meets project requirements, industry standards, and health and safety expectations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand scope and provide reliable deliverables.
- Look after survey equipment and keep calibration documentation current.
- Support the use of drone survey results, photogrammetry, and GIS datasets when required.
Required Background and Skills
- A Chartered Ireland Land Surveyor is required.
- Hands-on experience in land surveying within construction, engineering, infrastructure, telecoms, or renewable energy work.
- Confident use of GPS/GNSS systems, total stations, and survey software.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS tools, or similar geospatial platforms.
- Solid grasp of surveying methods, coordinate systems, and data processing workflows.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work alone as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Clear communication and reporting skills.
- Full clean driving licence and readiness to travel to sites as needed.
Qualifications
A degree, diploma, or comparable qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related subject is expected. Professional membership or accreditation is considered an advantage. Experience with drone surveying, laser scanning, or photogrammetry would be beneficial.
