Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Land Surveyor to contribute to a significant Buildings and Infrastructure project based in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive land and field surveys along with geodetic computations.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to identify and confirm survey needs for projects.
• Execute surveying tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and remain within budgeted time and costs.
• Inspect setting-out and level accuracy, verify service locations and safeguard them.
• Create detailed sketches supporting field activities and maintain thorough survey records, including field books, sketches, and calculations.
• Measure completed works as necessary.
• Carry out verification and routine inspections of control points and benchmarks.
• Document initial and final levels of work performed.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing 'as-built' drawings and record drawings.
• Adhere to and actively support all health and safety protocols on site as directed by the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative.
• Examine relevant drawings and documents related to the scope of work.
• Understand and utilize survey-specific terminology, maps, plats, drawings, and specifications effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in land surveying roles.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the Middle East region.
• Proficient with CAD and survey software, including the use of total stations, data collectors, and GPS devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with construction sequencing and industry-standard operating procedures preferred.
• Experience with projects in Qatar is advantageous.
• Capability to communicate effectively with site personnel and project management teams.
