Position Overview
The Laboratory Sales Manager is responsible for driving the laboratory business volume within the assigned region by managing key accounts, developing new clients, and leading channel partner engagement. This role emphasizes working capital control, comprehensive market coverage, and timely reporting through MIS and analytics, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and proactive team training.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve targeted business volume for the laboratory sector by meeting and exceeding sales plans across designated accounts and territories.
- Effectively manage working capital to maintain financial control and operational efficiency.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key accounts, while also expanding the Laboratory customer database by acquiring new significant accounts.
- Undertake market developmental activities to increase coverage and penetration.
- Design and implement standardized formats and processes for dealer business management to ensure adherence to timelines and active participation of current and new channel partners.
- Prepare and submit timely reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly) to the Regional Office as required, maintaining high levels of data accuracy and query resolution within deadlines.
- Ensure customer satisfaction scores remain high by promptly addressing all customer queries.
- Provide product and process training to team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualification Requirements
- Essential: Degree in engineering or a graduate degree in any discipline.
- Preferred: Degree in engineering or graduate degree coupled with a postgraduate management qualification.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required for candidates with an engineering degree.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required for graduates from any discipline.
- Experience working within the laboratory industry is advantageous.
