Laboratory Field Technician

About the Role

WSP is seeking a junior field technician to join its Auckland laboratory team in Tāmaki Makaurau. The position is centred on practical, hands-on work across both laboratory and field settings, with the main emphasis on field-based testing. The team supports key infrastructure work across Aotearoa by carrying out trusted testing for civil engineering materials such as aggregates, soils, concrete, and bitumen.

What You’ll Do

• Work in both site and lab environments, with most of the work focused outdoors on field testing.
• Assist with testing of civil construction materials that support major infrastructure projects.
• Use prior field or laboratory testing experience in practical, on-site situations.
• Handle basic data entry tasks and be available for occasional overtime when required.
