As part of a global contract research organisation, the company supports the creation of new medicines by delivering quality-controlled pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic testing across a range of therapeutic areas for clinical and preclinical studies.

Role Purpose
This position exists to help keep a busy, modern laboratory running smoothly by providing hands-on support in an accredited environment. The role contributes to the delivery of high-quality services while following applicable standards, regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.
Core Duties
- Keep laboratory spaces orderly, efficient and appropriately organised.
- Track, order and replenish consumables used in the laboratories.
- Accept incoming goods and reagents, complete the required paperwork, and ensure correct storage.
- Update equipment service and calibration information in the laboratory information management system.
- Support the purchase process for laboratory equipment.
- Make sure instruments are cleaned, serviced and calibrated in line with SOPs and maintenance plans.
- Help coordinate the movement of reagents and other goods shipments.
- Respond to and investigate temperature monitoring alarms without delay.
Documentation and Quality
- Review policies, SOPs, systems and processes to help maintain the quality and reliability of service delivery.
- Keep records in LIMS, databases and paper files in a way that aligns with relevant standards and industry expectations.
Compliance and Safety
- Work in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, OECD GLP principles, GCLP principles, the organisation’s quality management system, NATA accreditation requirements and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Support safe and efficient day-to-day laboratory operations.
- Follow internal procedures and statutory requirements at all times.
Team and Development
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, service providers and other stakeholders.
- Take part in meetings and training relevant to the organisation’s work.
