Job description

About the Organisation

360biolabs is a highly accredited specialist laboratory services provider in Australia and operates as part of BioAgilytix, a global contract research organisation that supports the development of innovative medicines in tightly controlled quality environments. The company designs and runs pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assays across a broad range of therapeutic areas to help drive successful clinical and preclinical research.

Joining the team means working alongside experienced professionals and modern technology, with opportunities for growth locally and globally. The organisation also places a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and connection, reflecting a people-first culture.

Role Purpose

This position exists to deliver practical laboratory support so that a busy, modern lab can run efficiently while handling assays for research, preclinical work, and clinical studies within an accredited setting. The role also contributes to maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with relevant procedures, regulations, and SOPs. It is a casual role averaging about 3 days per week, with shifts rostered Monday to Friday.

Key Duties

  • Keep laboratory spaces organised and operating efficiently.
  • Track, order, and replenish consumable stock used in the labs.
  • Accept deliveries of goods and reagents, complete the required paperwork, and store items appropriately.
  • Update equipment servicing and calibration details in the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Help arrange purchases of laboratory equipment.
  • Make sure lab equipment is cleaned, maintained, and calibrated in line with SOPs and planned maintenance schedules.
  • Support the coordination of shipments for reagents and other goods.
  • Respond to temperature monitoring alarms quickly and investigate them as needed.
  • Review policies, SOPs, systems, and procedures to support service quality and integrity.
  • Maintain records in electronic systems and on paper to standards expected under relevant industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Work in line with ISO/IEC 17025, OECD GLP principles, GCLP principles, the 360biolabs quality management system, NATA accreditation requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Help ensure laboratory activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Follow internal procedures and legal/statutory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and build productive working relationships with service providers and other stakeholders.
  • Take part in meetings and training connected to 360biolabs operations and development.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate should have tertiary study in a scientific field or equivalent practical experience. Prior work in a quality-controlled environment, ideally one operating under ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, or a similar quality framework, is essential. Strong organisation and time management skills are needed, along with the ability to work well in a team, communicate clearly, and learn quickly. Experience handling clinical samples is also required. Familiarity with a Laboratory Information Management System is desirable, and an interest in biomedical research is also welcomed.
